Antique Indian copper pot. Made by an artisan metal worker with a hammered finish.

These pots were historically used for cooking, food storage or for carrying water. Also known as 'Lota' or 'Chambu', particularly when used for holy water in Hindu rituals.

This piece has a beautiful dark aged patina, and stunning evidence of use related wear. If only we could know all of its story.
